Anne Zaczek serves as MICA’s Managing Director, tasked with leading and supervising all aspects of MICA’s vision, mission, goals and implementing its day-to day operations.  Anne is a seasoned leader in organizational and international program management. 

Joining the Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund (HCP) in 2018 as Executive Director, Anne has provided steady leadership, enhancing the organization’s infrastructure, advancing capacity-building programs, and fostering strategic partnerships that have notably expanded its global impact. A key focus of Anne’s tenure at HCP has been organizational growth and program sustainability. She has led operational enhancements, revitalized board engagement, and streamlined communication strategies, resulting in a stable increase in the organization’s budget and the resources necessary to support long-term growth and impact.

Prior to joining HCP, Anne served as Manager of Global Development Programs at the U.S. Grains Council, overseeing multi-million-dollar projects across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Notably, she oversaw the Tanzania Food for Progress (FFP) program, which advanced the feed milling and poultry industries while strengthening industry associations, including the Tanzania Poultry Association and the Tanzania Feed Millers Association. She also played a key role in launching the Tanzania Poultry Show, now a cornerstone event for the region’s poultry sector, further strengthening industry linkages.

Prior to the FFP program, Anne managed the Council’s UES submission for Market Access Programs (MAP) and Foreign Market Development (FMD) funding, which supported the expansion of U.S. agricultural exports of corn, barley and sorghum in key international markets. Furthermore, she oversaw the planning, program implementation, and financial oversight for global programs. She led key advisory teams further strengthened the Council’s market development strategy and enhanced collaboration with members and partners.

Anne’s extensive experience encompasses organizational development, public-private partnerships, capacity building, and the management of complex international programs. A skilled communicator and strategist, she is dedicated to enhancing organizational capacity, ensuring program sustainability, and amplifying the voices of farmers while connecting them to global markets.

Anne holds a Bachelor of Science in International Studies from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a focus in International Business and a minor in Marketing. Her commitment to strengthening organizations, building farmer capacity, and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural programs positions her as a transformational leader in the global agricultural community.
