MICA Welcomes Administration’s Decision on Tariff Exemptions for Beef

The Meat Import Council of America (MICA) welcomes the Trump Administration’s November 14, 2025 decision to exempt beef and other agricultural imports from certain reciprocal U.S. tariffs. The administration clearly recognizes the key role that high-quality, competitive beef imports play in helping lower consumer prices and supplementing U.S. beef production.

“MICA supports keeping everyday beef products affordable for American families,” said MICA Executive Director Michael Skahill, “and we are glad to see that the Administration understands the critical importance of beef imports to maintaining a strong supply of affordable, high-quality meat here at home.”
